Day One   Arrival in Marrakech and welcome drinks. Dinner at hotel. Overnight Marrakech

Day Two   Marrakech city tour with photographer Suzanne Porter and a local city guide - a behind the scenes look at the inner workings of the ancient Marrakech medina and artisans at work in the souks. Overnight Marrakech

Day Three  Early start for for Berber market where we meet our local contact and accompany him on his weekly shop. Head back to his mountain village to meet the family and have lunch. Afternoon visiting village and photographing local Berber community and activities - olive pressing, butter making etc Drive to Imlil for overnight

Day Four  Trek with mules and mountain guide to observe rural Berber life in the mountains around snow-capped Imlil.   Lunch in local home.  Afternoon village visit for tea with local family and observe village life and local farming activities. 50 minute drive to Ourigane for overnight.

Day Five  Morning visit to traditional salt mines before dropping in to Berber home to see traditional Berber breadmaking and meet local family for tea. Drive to Agafay Desert, passing stunning lake, Lalla Takerkoust. (Optional visits to see pottery, donkey sanctuary, orphanage along the way).  Arrive in desert and visit to nomadic village for exchange and to see activities such as animal rearing and weaving, Observe pastoral farmers and stunning lunar landscape. Overnight in tented camp in Agafay. Optional night photography

Day Six  Early rise to capture the stunning sun rising over the stony desert. After breakfast, drive to Essaouira with surprise stops along the way. Arrive in time for fresh seafood lunch in Essaouira. Afternoon exploring Essaouira’s meandering streets before catching a stunning sunset over the ramparts of the port. Plenty of chance for integration with fishermen and the locals. Overnight in Essaouira.

Day Seven  Up early to catch the sunrise over Essaouira's sweeping sandy beach and witness this small city coming to life.  Hang out with the fishermen as they unload the fresh catch of the day. Free time to explore the quaint Atlantic seaside town of Essaouira before lunch and drive back to Marrakech.   Farewell dinner and photo presentation. Overnight Marrakech
