About your local photographer
Work ExperienceI have been a tour guide since 2010, and have handled many groups and individual from all around the globe ever since. I led many prominent groups and tours ranging from from the oversea agent called Country walker’s tour to Boundless journey, Alpine tours and Angeli travels. I toured also the Snowman trek which is the toughest trek in the world extending from beautiful Laya valley into Lunana region and further on to Gangkhar Puensum highest unclimbed mountain of Bhutan down to Bhumthang , Jomolhari trek, Dagala trek . I have also lead biking tours -crossing all over Bhutan both inroad and off-road. I have also operated cultural and festive tours, organized weddings, honey moon tours and bird tours. Bhutan is a paradise for bird lovers and ornithologists for which I organized customized tours.
In addition, I was appointed Head of the tour operation and designed high end itineraries for high end clients and accompanied tours and managed all logistics, including concert promotion, site workshops, and cultural shows. Furthermore, I assisted in maintaining tour records, including expense accounts and debriefing reports and provided solutions to touring members with concerns and difficulties.
Hobbies and interests
In association with my job in Travels and Tourism , I very much enjoy exploring the world, visiting new countries, and interacting with different people and get to know their culture and traditions. In turn, I love to show my guests the beauty of Bhutan; it s culture, traditions and most importantly have every guest experience our philosophy of “Gross National Happiness”.
Last but not least, I am also interested in iconography and bird watching. I regularly go cycling to different parts of Bhutan in my own leisure time.

I have been photographing with ND as a fixer in Bhutan for 6 consecutive days in Thimpu (Thimpu Dzong) as well as Punakha (Dzong, Monastry), Talo (Tschu) and Paro (Tschu). Our focus was on street photography with a focus on portraiture, environmental portraiture during the Tschus and a bit of cityscapes. ND who has been acting as a fixer for Bhutan photo tours was extremely helpful due to his contacts. He was for example able to get me into the backyard of Talo Dzong during the Tschu where the mask dancers were dressed up by monks where it is usually not allowed to take photos. Due to his contacts he got the permission for me to photograph the scenery. In Paro he got me to the second floor of the Dzong to allow me to photograph the Tschu downwards despite the fact that we only arrived late afternoon and it was so crowded that it had been impossible to photograph from ground level. ND was known to one of the officials in charge for access to the upper floors. In Punakha he made it possible to attend and photograph the early morning prayer at a monastry with 250 monks attending. Overall it was a really nice experience being together with ND as he made it possible to experience Bhutan in a way not many tourists will experience the country. ND has a very kind personality and a really good understanding in which kind of scenery photographers are interested in shooting. Strong recommendation to go photographing with him in Bhutan.
