About your local photographer

I am an award Winning Photographer, originally from Poland.
Since 2002 I have been based in the Republic of Georgia. My work specialises in the countries of the former Soviet Union. The most important part of my professional activity is devoted to personal , long term projects. I am a member of MAPSimages.
In 2014, I published my first Book  titled: “ Woman with a Monkey- Caucasus in Short Notes and Photographs “. This book covers a decade of documenting Caucasus. I am currently preparing a book of a long term project on Ukraine titled : “A Ukraine Runs Through it “
With the 2016 grant I won from E. Smith Memorial Fund,I continue with a new body of work, that explores the role of ethnicity in identity formation for Russians and Russian speakers residing in former Soviet states, 25 years after the fall of the Soviet Union .

My work has been published in various international  publications such as  The New York Times, Monocle, Newsweek International, Marie Claire , GEO France , National Geographic , Le Monde , Stern , German Yearbook of Reporters without Borders - among others.
